Miranda and the Revolution by ~KriegsaffeNo9:iconKriegsaffeNo9:

Miranda blinked.

"Who are you?" she asked.  "And what are you doing here?"

"I'm waiting for the revolution," the figure said.

"Seriously?" Miranda said.  "I'm here for milk."

"Milk never changed a nation."

"But, milk does a body good."

"Knowing your choices, choose."

She opted for milk.  The revolution didn't go anywhere.  She had cookies.

A 55-word microfic, so short that, in fact, it's entirely possible that the ramble about it may exceed the length of the work itself. You know, sort of like how the Hellboy movie had a documentary a full half hour longer than the movie it's about. Except not nearly as cool as Hellboy.

This was once an Azu fanfic, but only by virtue that it starred Osaka, beloved freakjob. Though her amicable and odd style may now be missing from this piece, it's gained ambiguity and ability to read into.

This may look like a political satire of some kind. If it turns out that it is, I'm sorry. I didn't write about it like that, though...

So, is that more than 55 words? Highly possible. Whelp, time to hit "continue..." button's not too far down... just below keywords and Mature Content. Right-click-save is burnin' a hole in the temporary storage registry. Et cetera. Ayup. GONOW.

Nice and to the point.

Thanks!

Haha, it kind of makes me think of the Matrix. You know, I think they've actually got a market somewhere for short-short fiction.
It's an idea I grifted. It's big in the Livejournal fanfic commune, and it was derived from a sci-fi writing challenge.

The only matter I miss is a person whom I want to write a letter. (Sandor Marai)

Very amusing. I know I'd go with the milk, too. ^^;

It's all the calcium. Revolutions tend to be highly deficient in calcium.
